Buckinghamshire is a Home County with a population of more than 700,000. The county borders Oxfordshire to the west, Northamptonshire to the north, Bedfordshire/Hertfordshire to the east and Berkshire/Hillingdon to the south. Aylesbury is the county town of Buckinghamshire, although the best known city is Milton Keynes, which is a unitary authority but does form part of the county for certain functions.
