This nine bed residential service supports individuals with a Learning Disability and Complex Support Needs including Physical Disabilities. The service is designed to support individuals who may require residential support at a particular time in their lives but only as a stepping stone to greater independence.

Situated in the heart of the busy town of Littlehampton, Courtwick Park is ideally placed to ensure the individuals supported are able to participate fully in community life perhaps whilst they are either in transition or needing a period of additional support in their lives. Within a stimulating and well planned environment the spacious communal areas of Courtwick also offer an activity room/ sensory room.

Within its extensive own grounds, Courtwick boasts its own day centre, namely, Stepping Stones; the day centre provides a valuable outreach centre where individuals using the service can access a range of activities. A specialist activity support team deliver a range of both internal and external activity programmes enabling individuals to participate in various activities of their choice. The centre has its own trampoline, computer room with touch screen facilities and a sensory room.

Our Staff are committed to working closely with the individuals we support, their families and significant others to devise and develop personalised support plans that promote opportunity, choice and success. In addition to their own learning and development opportunities, staff are also offered additional advice and guidance from our in house Tizard trained, Positive Behaviour Intervention Team.

The promotion of choice, person centred planning and empowerment are all integral to what we do. We are also aware that we have a responsibility to provide a safe environment for the people we support and value for money for those funding placements with us. We regularly review our practise and ensure we are both safeguarding the individuals we support and that the support we provide continues to be relevant, needed and delivers the best value for money.
