Berkshire, one of the Home Counties, is also referred to as the Royal County of Berkshire; Windsor Castle is within its borders. The county neighbours Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire to the north, Wiltshire to the west, Hampshire to the south and Surrey/Hounslow/Hillingdon to the east.
