Tolson Grange is a purpose built home, circa 1994. The home is owned and maintained by Anchor Trust, England’s largest not-for-profit provider of support, care and housing for older people. Set in a quiet location and in its own beautiful grounds, Tolson Grange is close to local amenities and excellent bus routes into nearby towns. Many of the rooms have lovely views of the well-kept gardens.
At Tolson Grange, we provide residential care for 38 older people (male and female) with varying levels of dementia. Staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and support.
Accommodation • 24 single en-suite rooms with WC and washbasin • 14 larger en-suite rooms with a dressing area, lounge and bathroom. 3 of these rooms are on the ground floor and have private patios • Rooms decorated to high standard, whilst considering dementia needs • We encourage furniture and personal items to be brought in to make it your own home • Telephone point in all rooms • Television point and connections for digital and satellite TV • Call bells in each room providing 24-hour help • 3 lounge areas with TV and video players, with quiet areas for reading and relaxing • Bathrooms specially equipped so you can relax in comfort • Lift to all floors
Dining • There are 3 dining areas • Tea-making facilities are available • Choice of healthy and nutritious meals and any special dietary requirements catered for • You can choose from the menus each day • Breakfast and supper is served in the lounge or can be enjoyed in your own room • Snacks and refreshments are available on request
Leisure activities • Our in-house library offers a wide range of books including large print, audio and video tapes • Newspapers can be ordered and delivered daily to your room • Tolson Grange has a pleasant garden and patio area, ideal for sitting out in summer • Music – CD/stereos and a piano are available • Games are available such as board games, carpet bowls, etc. • We have a hairdressing salon • Our activity room is available for exercise, arts and crafts classes, etc. • Regular events and entertainment are organised at our home each week by our Activities Co-ordinator

Health and personal care • GP is available on request • District Nurses, Dentist and Optician visit by arrangement • Our Chiropodist visits once every 4-6 weeks or on request • Holistic therapies available on request • Our Hairdresser visits weekly
