Being a smaller home we can offer specialist personal care
24 hours a day via our dedicated team of Registered Nurses headed by the Patient Care Manager and by our experienced team of Carers. Birchwood is an 'Approved Provider' to West Sussex Count Council and is registered by West Sussex health Authority for the Elderly who are Mentally Frail and or Infirm.
Our facilities
A Choice of Rooms is offered, there are single bedrooms some with en-suite facilities and also some shared rooms. There is a spacious lounge and dining room and an activities lounge on the ground floor. Each room is fully furnished and linked to the Nurse Call System and a lift serves all floors.
Activities offer an important opportunity for residents to relax and mix, hopefully making new friends and regaining old skills. Our Activity Organiser encourages individuals to participate in a wide range of exercise to music, crafts and games. or some, outings are a regular feature and includes trips to local attractions, visits to the shops and even local pubs.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><?xml:namespace prefix = o />
Spiritual needs
All religions are respected and can be catered for. Holy Communion is held regularly as requested.
High Standards are assured at Birchwood by the dedication
of the Manager and staff who are guided by the Operations Director and Care Director who is a practicing Doctor.

Quality Assurance is a key ingredient in maintaining and improving these standards. In conjunction with our ongoing staff training programmes, our Quality Assurance Programme, which is specifically designed for Care Homes, encourages our staff to become even more proactive in Residents and Patients Care.
