Thistledale is a purpose built home, circa 1988. It is owned and maintained by Anchor Trust,
England’s largest not-for-profit provider of support, care and housing for older people.
Set in a central location and in its own attractive grounds, Thistledale is close to the local shops, pubs, social club, library, churches, and post office. Most rooms have views of the well-kept gardens parkland.

At Thistledale, we provide residential care for 28 older people (male and female) who are frail,
have physical disabilities, moderate dementia and some mental health needs. Staff are on hand
24-hours a day to provide care and support.

• Newspapers can be delivered to your room
• Thistledale has very pleasant gardens with patio and area to sit out in summer
• Games are available such as board games and carpet bowls
• Events are arranged including quizzes, arts and crafts, day trips, entertainers and exercise classes
• You are encouraged to play a part in daily living activities which can include
gardening andlight house-keeping
