Palmersdene is a purpose built home, circa 1990. It is
owned and maintained by Anchor Trust, England’s largest
not-for-profit provider of support, care and housing for
older people. Set in a quiet location and in its own
beautiful grounds, Palmersdene is close to the local
shops, pubs and post office. Most rooms have lovely
views of the gardens parkland.

At Palmersdene, we provide residential care for 40
older people (male and female) with physical and mental
health needs, moderate dementia and moderate learning
disabilities. We also provide a special Dementia Unit.
Staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and
support.

• Library with large print books, audio and video tapes

• We have gardens with pleasant areas to sit out in
  summer
• Games available such as board games and carpet bowls

• We have a hairdressing salon
• Events are arranged including arts and crafts, day
  trips, entertainers and exercise classes

  activities which can include vegetable preparation,
  gardening and light house-keeping
