Heathside is a purpose-built home, circa 1969. The home is owned and maintained by Anchor Trust, England’s largest not-for-profit provider of support, care and housing for older people. Set in a quiet residential area and in its own grounds, Heathside is close to local shops, pubs and post office and excellent bus routes to nearby towns. Most rooms have lovely views of the gardens.
At Heathside, we provide residential care for 51 older people (male and female) with increasing physical and mental frailties and varying mental health needs. Staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and support.

Dining • There are 7 dining rooms • You can choose from the menus each day • Supper is served in the lounges or can be enjoyed in your own room • Choice of healthy and nutritious meals and any special dietary requirements catered for • Tea and snack-making facilities are available
Leisure activities • Our library offers a wide variety of books including large print, audio and video tapes • Newspapers can be ordered and delivered daily to your room • Heathside has an elegant garden with patio and sitting areas, ideal for the summer • We have a stereo system and a piano • Games are available such as board games, carpet bowls, etc. • Residents can play a full part in daily living activities such as gardening • Our in-house shop sells confectionery and greetings cards • We have a hairdressing salon • Regular events and entertainment are organised at our home each week
