Chantry House is a purpose built home, circa 1994. The home is owned and maintained by Anchor Trust, England’s largest not-for-profit provider of support, care and housing for older people. Set in a quiet location and in its own beautiful grounds, Chantry House is close to local amenities and excellent bus and rail routes. Most of our rooms have lovely views of the well-kept gardens.

 

At Chantry House, we provide nursing care for 24 older people (male and female) with varying degrees of mental and physical frailty. Staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and support.

• Choice of healthy and nutritious meals and any special dietary requirements catered for

• You can choose from the menus each day

• Breakfast and supper can be served in the dining rooms or in the privacy of your room

• Tea-making facilities for you and your visitors available in the lounges.

 

Leisure activities

• Our home has a variety of books to choose from including large print, magazines, audio and video tapes

• Newspapers can be ordered and delivered daily to your room

• Chantry House has a large foyer, pleasant garden with patio and sitting area

• CD/stereos are available in the lounges

• Games available such as carpet bowls and board games, etc.

• Regular events and entertainment such as arts & crafts, exercise classes are organised by our dedicated Activities Co-ordinator.
