The Home
The “ethos“of Twelve Trees is to provide excellent individual care by an experienced and happy team. We never use a staff care agency, so it’s always the same dedicated staff team looking after our residents.
Residents' activities are a very important part of daily life, with a huge variety available every month. With a mix of small and larger groups, we provide both outings and in-house entertainment, ensuring all our residents have interesting and enjoyable ways to make the most of their day.
Facilities
The Level Gardens have been designed with residents' needs and enjoyment in mind. There are a variety of scented plants and herbs and residents can take part in planting and maintaining pots if they wish. There are also quiet areas to sit and enjoy with family and friends.
- Bedrooms Single En-Suite and Twin En-Suite all fitted with digital TV point and telephone if required.
- Lounges: air conditioned, giving residents increased comfort during the summer months.
- Conservatory: It’s nice to sit in here to enjoy the warmth of the sun.
Assisted Baths: Bathing is made easy with electric assisted baths and shower attachment.
- Nurse Call: A modern nurse call facility which operates via a pager system. This removes the need for lights and buzzers, which can disrupt the home and disturb other residents. The system also works in the garden and has the facility for sensors to be fitted to chairs and beds to alert staff for those residents at risk of falling.
- Dining Rooms: Round tables make our dining rooms very sociable at meal times and the skis fitted to chairs and be more comfortable whilst eating.
- Treatment room: this is ideal for visiting care professionals and has an aromatherapy bench.
- Lift to all floors for residents' use.
- Transport: Our people carrier is very comfortable and with large-opening sliding doors make its access easy for outings.
Care
After an initial assessment to decide the best way to care for a new resident, an individual Care Plan is completed. This document is very detailed and has all the relevant information as to medical and health needs, through to the time a resident would like to
have breakfast in the morning. In addition, two reports are completed three times a day, to monitor mobility, diet and general health.

Menu & Diet
Menus and a balanced diet are very important. Twelve Trees has four key suppliers delivering fresh produce every other day and a special order from a High Street grocer to help with special diets and individual tastes. Often this list can include anything from blue cheese to apricot yoghurt and pate
Traditional home cooking is very important, with a great choice of meals and homemade cakes for tea. There is always a choice available, so if you would prefer a light meal or have a special diet it can easily be accommodated.
Ingredients supplied locally which helps freshness and quality. All our vegetables and fruit are delivered in a large open box for use that day, with fresh meat and fish being delivered three times a week.
Recycling takes place with all cardboard and soon to follow plastic bottles. One of our aims is also to reduce the food packaging coming into the home.
Gold Award from Sheffield City Council for Kitchen Hygiene
Our kitchen and food procedures are graded as Gold by Sheffield City Council's inspectors.
