A group of Care Homes providing
residential care for men who have recovered or are recovering from mental health
problems or may also have personality disorder.
Our speciality lies with caring for
individuals who have a forensic history, challenging behaviour or drug/alcohol
related problems.
We have been operating since
1996.

SUMMARY of RESOURCES and
FACILITIES:

Provision of
single rooms.

2 zone fire alarm
system in all our homes.

Each of our homes
can accommodate 3 to 5 people thus enabling us to provide effective
aftercare

Provide 24 hour
waking staff who are experienced in working with client
group.
-
24 hour on-call
rota by experienced registered mental health nurses to work with staff in
managing emergency situations and assessing/reviewing on-going risk factors.

Provision of named
carers, who are registered mental health nurses with experience in managing
forensic/difficult to manage clients.

Availability of
staff to escort clients to day centres and other appointments if
necessary

Provision of a key
worker for each client.
-
Collaboration with
clients social/psychiatric supervisors.
-
Provision of care
irrespective of ethnic origin, sexuality, beliefs or past behaviour.
-
Assessment of
needs (physical, psychological, social, cultural and spiritual) followed by
individualised care plans which will be reviewed regularly and agreed between
the client and his key worker working in
partnership.

Care plans are
discussed and agreed between the client and his key worker with the aim of
facilitating community rehabilitation.

Provision of
progress reports, prepared by key workers and circulated to the client and
statutory agencies involved with his care.

In-house
counsellor to provide on-going counselling sessions for clients who may have
drug/alcohol problems.

Activity centre
where clients can learn computer skills, literacy, budgeting and other self care
skills as well as use gym equipments.

Encouragement to
pursue college course of interest, leisure activities/community resources with a
view to enabling our clients to manage their own lives and maximise their
potential.

Encouragement
given towards self catering and staged help towards self catering for those
without cooking skills.

Encouragement to
maintain beneficial contacts with family and
others.

On-going teaching
sessions for our staff.

On-going performance reviews in all areas of our operation to ensure
we are helping our clients to maximise their
potential.
