Situated in the pretty village of
Staplehurst and surrounded by extensive wooded grounds, Staplehurst Manor is a
fine example of a Georgian country house, elegantly converted.
A particular feature is the marble-pillared
hallway, leading to the main staircase with its ornate balustrades, stained
glass window and galleried landings. Beautifully furnished reception rooms
include a drawing room with floor to ceiling Georgian windows overlooking the
garden. Daily activities are offered, including painting, music appreciation,
quizzes and gardening, while the library and quiet lounge provide peace for
reading or a game of scrabble or bridge. Leeds Castle and the famous
Sissinghurst gardens are nearby, and residents also enjoy the home's extensive
grounds.
