Lyle House is a purpose-built 3 storey building with fifteen single, en-suite rooms on each floor around a large dining room, lounge with kitchen area and a quiet room and was opened in February 2005. You will find the staff there are experienced and committed and will welcome and invite you on a tour of our home. Lyle House caters for 45 residents with physical and mental health disabilities. All staff are NVQ trained and residents are cared for on an individual basis with each resident having their own named support worker. Lyle House prides itself on offering a relaxing, friendly and homely environment. There is a pleasant garden and garden room, hairdressing room and activities room and an en-suite guest room. Families are always made welcome and are actively encouraged to become involved with the Friends Committee. Our Home is 2 Star Rated by CSCI.
Residents are motivated to continue to be independent and to lead a full and dignified life and are supported in this. Your room will be comfortably furnished and you may bring pieces of your own furniture to make the room “your own”. Residents are encouraged to help plan menus and enjoy a diverse range of home-made food prepared on the premises by a qualified, full-time, cook and special occasions and cultural festivities are celebrated. There is a daily Activities Programme is in which all residents are encouraged to take part but are free to take part in as much or as little as they wish. The Home’s minibus is also used for trips outside the Home. There are also monthly residents meetings and all residents are encouraged to attend as their views and opinions are extremely important to us.
