Located just south of the River Thames, between two of
London's historic bridges, Albert Bridge and Battersea Bridge, Meadbank offers
the ultimate in nursing care.
The home's superb location makes it easily accessible
for visitors, and for residents it offers great access to places such as
Battersea
Park and the Pump House
Gallery. Originally built in the 1960s, the centre has been extended with a new
wing added as recently as 2003. Today it combines excellent care with a wide
choice of facilities to provide nursing care for elderly residents and
convalescent and rehabilitation care for those recovering from an accident,
illness or operation. All of the spacious 178 bedrooms are tastefully decorated
and some offer en-suite facilities. There are plenty of places to relax and
socialise at Meadbank. Each unit has its own lounge furnished with comfortable
high-backed armchairs, coffee tables and a writing desk. Residents can also
relax in our attractive gardens that are full of colourful, scented flowers.
Daily activities play an important part of life at Meadbank and our dedicated
activities team ensures that there is always something to do to suit all
interests and levels of mobility - everything from exercise to cooking, to our
annual Garden Party and Christmas pantomime.
