Tenterden House is situated close
to the cathedral city of St Albans. Originally a Victorian private house, it
offers light, spacious and tastefully furnished reception rooms with character
and warmth.
The extensive gardens are overlooked by the dining
room, and include a scented rose bed and a level patio surrounded by a stone
balustrade, on which residents and guests may enjoy a sunny afternoon. The
bedrooms all offer a high degree of comfort and some have en-suite facilities.
There is an activities rooms for residents' use, and daily activities include
quizzes, coffee mornings, gardening, craft demonstrations and guests speakers,
as well as trips to local places of interest. Tenterden House also offers care
to younger people with physical disabilities, and palliative and terminal
care.

Directions From M25
junction 21A, take the A405 heading towards St Albans/Hatfield, until you reach
the roundabout by the Thistle Hotel. Go around the roundabout and then back down
the A405 (on the other side of the dual carriageway). Lye Lane is the first
turning on the left, where Tenterden House can be found 100 yards down on the
right hand side.
