Hill House is situated in a pleasant leafy suburb of Elstree, with Borehamwood just two miles away. The home is within walking distance of the local shops and is on the main bus route into the town.

Originally a private house and then a school, this listed building has been tastefully converted and extended to meet the needs of elderly residents who require either residential or nursing care. It also offers care for younger physically disabled people. There are many well furnished lounges and dining rooms and also a library room for quiet reading. Hill House also has large landscaped gardens for residents to enjoy. The majority of the 75 bedrooms are singles and all have en-suite facilities. Regular activities are arranged including bingo, art, musical sessions and weekly visits from the local school. Trips are also taken to local places of interest such as Dunstable Downs and Stanborough Lakes.
