Thameside is a purpose built home, circa 2003. The home is owned and maintained by Anchor Trust, England’s largest not-for-profit provider of support, care and housing for older people. Set in a quiet location and in its own beautiful grounds, Thameside is close to the local shops, pub and post office. Most rooms have lovely views of the well-kept gardens.
At Thameside, we provide residential care for 60 older people (male and female) who have physical disabilities, moderate dementia, some mental health needs and moderate learning disabilities. Staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and support.

Dining • There are 5 dining rooms – one on each wing • Meals are served in the dining room and supper can be enjoyed in the lounge or your room if you prefer • We offer a wide range of dining at Thameside. You can choose from the varied and seasonal menus each day • Choice of healthy and nutritious meals and any special dietary requirements catered for
Leisure activities • Newspapers can be ordered and delivered daily to your room • Thameside has elegant gardens with pleasant areas to sit out in summer • We have a stereo and a radio • Games are available such as board games and carpet bowls • We have a hairdressing salon • Events are arranged including quizzes, arts and crafts, day trips, entertainers and exercise classes • You are encouraged to play a part in daily living activities, which can include assisting with laying tables, gardening and light house-keeping
Facilities • Wheelchair access and car parking are available • Pets are welcome by arrangement • We have a personal laundry service • Religious services and meetings are arranged
Health and personal care • There are two local surgeries and a GP available on request • Our Hairdresser visit weekly • Our Chiropodist visits once a month or on request • Physiotherapist, District Nurse, Dentist and Optician visit by arrangement
