Introduction on the home
Park Lane Care Home has undergone a complete
renovation and rebuilding programme which has
created one of the best and most up to date
sought after homes in North Devon. Matched with
dedicated and caring staff, we believe that you
have now found the right home that you would be
pleased to stay in. You will feel at home,
fully catered and cared for.
Home Features
The accommodation at Park Lane is arranged on
three beautifully decorated floors in the main
house, and two floors in the 'white' house.
There are four lounges - two main lounges, a
quiet lounge, and a reading room. There are two
communal dining rooms although residents are
welcome to eat either in their own rooms or in
one of the lounges. Park Lane offers 27 single
and two shared rooms, majority with en suite
facilities.
Facilities
Each room has been furnished to a high standard,
including flat screen televisions, and
electrically height adjustable beds. Specially
adapted bathrooms with Arjo baths and Arjo
showers, with special hoists available depending
on your personal needs. An electronic Nurse Call
system is fitted to all rooms in the home to
enable you to summon staff assistance whenever
necessary.
There are also two brand new passenger lifts to
serve all floors for your convenience. Also, and
very importantly, the whole home has been
commissioned with the latest electronic, state
of the art, fire alarm system.
Staff and Service
We provide a holistic, person-centred, nursing
and social care service in a well-maintained,
homely environment. This is supported in no small
way by a dedicated team. The care team consists of
our qualified nurse on duty (day and night), senior
care, and our health care assistants. A high percentage
of our care staff have achieved or currently undertaking
NVQ's. The Housekeeping department keeps our home
clean and tidy, and our resident's with fresh laundry.
Acivities
Stimulating activities are organized on both a
weekly and daily basis and at all times being
respectful of your wishes and your privacy. The
diary of events and outings are posted on our
activities board. There are weekly
multi-denominational Church services and a
variety of singers and musicians visiting the
home.
