At Atherton Lodge we cater for residents with moderate care requirements as well as
others who need 24 hours Nursing Assistance.
Whatever the requirements of each individual resident, we deliver care with patience, kindness,
and understanding and at all times ensuring the residents dignity. The care plan for each resident
is formed in conjunction with their families and aimed at promoting health and independence and their
physical as well as mental well being.
Residents can retain their own GP or the home can arrange a GP for the residents if they so wish.
The majority of our Care staff are qualified to NVQ level 2 or above in Care and are led by Registered Nurses.
Choice of food
Our cook prepares a wide range of home cooked meals. There are always two options available for each sitting.
Special diets are catered for and should one require a sample menu, this can be arranged.
Facilities
We have three lounges and a large dining room in the home.
We have a TV lounge as well as a quiet lounge which can be used for reading or just enjoying
your own company in peace and quiet.
We further provide hair styling facilities by qualified Hair Dressers who visit the home regularly.
A qualified Chiropodist and a range of therapies can be arranged to suit individual requirements.
A range of activities take place at the home for the benefit of the Residents.
Visitors are welcome at any time.
Admission & Fees
Prior to admission, each Resident is invited to visit the home. Once a Resident
has visited and he/she wishes to come, a comprehensive assessment is carried out by
the Matron to ensure that the home can meet all the Residents needs
The fees are dependant upon the needs of the residents and vary from £370 to £600.
Care
Residents are treated as individuals and cared for with respect and dignity within a safe and homely
atmosphere by fully trained Nurses and Carers.
